ASK THE EXPERTS with Suzy Elneil and Dr Sarah Jarvis

Are there any ways to prevent LAI?

Yes. One of the best ways is to exercise your pelvic floor muscles. This is a great way to prevent and manage incontinence and can help prevent stress incontinence too by strengthening the bladder muscles.

Our pelvic floor goes through a lot, especially after childbirth which is why we are all encouraged to do pelvic floor exercises, but as women we are often so busy juggling home, work and family that it is seen as just another thing that we should do! It is never too late to tighten up your pelvic floor!
